The oldest church in continuous use in the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago. Parish until around 1930s, then a mission until 2003 when it was returned to Parish status.

Opened in 1894 as an unorganized mission via a contractual agreement between George Armour and Rev. John Knowles whereby George provided the land and money and Rev. Knowles would lead the parish. Open for the 7 years of the contract. Closed in 1894 after the city took part of the church property for the El, Knowles resigned and the contract was not renewed.

Formerly All Saints Church; merged with Incarnation, retained named of St. Matthias.

Originally named St. Paul's Mission. Renamed to St. Martin's in 1901 when it was decided there were too many churches named St. Paul in Chicago. Originally a predominately white church, by 1960 it became a predominately black church in Austin with Chase House and Christian Community Service housed at the church..

Established in 1952 as a mission meeting in homes and various public buildings. In 1954, a house was purchased to use as a temporary church home, serving as both a worship center, meeting location and an apartment for the pastor, while funds were gathered to create an actual church building. A church building was built in 1961. The church closed in 2001.

Established as a mission in 1875, it achieved parish status in 1929.

*In 2009 Holy Trinity Episcopal Church left the protestant Episcopal Church to join the Anglican Church in North America. It is not clear that it remains open to date (2024) as an ACNA church.
