Services began in 1878, although the first church building was not built until 1889. The original mission became a church on February 2, 1902. A new church building was built, dedicated in 1930 and provided a worshipful church and a large gathering hall. The church closed in 2007.

The mission was started in 1886 and continued primarily as a Sunday School until 1896, when a movement to revive the mission resulted in the establishment of a church. A building was purchased from a Methodist Church which was building a new building. The church was moved to a newly purchased lot and refurbished by parishioners. In 1908, the building was again moved to its final location and again refurbished. Around 1948 the church burned down, and the congregation was combined with All Saints Church to form Saint Matthias Church.

Started informally in 1981 as a mission of St. Marks, Glen Ellyn and Trinity, Wheaton. Became a mission of the Diocese of Chicago in 1982. COI is currently one of three churches which occupy the same address. (Church of the Incarnation, St. Luke's Philippine Independent Church and First Asian Church of North India).

Founded in 1885 in the stockyards district of Chicago, it was served for 18 years by the Reverend H.C. Kinney. The church was destroyed in 1902 and was rebuilt at 47th Street and Union Avenue the same year. The church closed in 1958.
