Established in the village of Woodlawn in 1889, it remained in Woodlawn when it became a neighborhood of Chicago. Closed in 1971 in the midst of the racial unrest on the south side of Chicago.

Today Christ Church, Ottawa is one of four Episcopal congregations in LaSalle County which joined together in January 1994 to form the LaSalle County Episcopal Ministry (LCEM). This combined ministry is under the direction of a lay Board of Directors with representatives from all four congregations. The member congregations retain local governing bodies to maintain and develop local programs and to care for congregational properties and other concerns. In 2022 the four churches are served by a senior pastor, The Reverend Mark A. Geisler and other supply priests as needed. The four member congregations are: Christ Church, Ottawa (670.153); Christ Church, Streator (670.11); St. Paul’s Church, LaSalle (670.131); and St. Andrew’s in the Fields Chapel, Farm Ridge (670.69).

Church of the Holy Communion (Maywood, Ill)

Church of the Holy Communion in Maywood, Il became a parish and then went through challenging times over the next 40 years going from mission to parish twice before being able to finally establish itself as a parish in 1918. Saint Simon the Cyrenian (670.142) was a mission of Holy Communion started in 1937 when the Black congregants, not feeling comfortable in Holy Communion, wanted to start their own church. Holy Communion closed in 2004.

Established in 1890 in the Hyde Park section of Chicago, the church merged in 1968 with Saint Paul's Episcopal Church to form Saint Paul the Redeemer

Church of the Resurrection (West Chicago, Ill)

Formed in 1954, about half the church seceeded in 1993/1994 to go to the Anglican Communion. The remaining Church of the Resurrection members stayed together although they needed to move in 2003. By 2006, the rest of this congregation left the Episicopal Church and joined the Anglican Church in North America.

Formed as a mission in 1886, it became a parish in May 1889. Ceased in 1918, when it merged with Saint Alban's Church and Saint Mark's Church.
