Created in 1972 as a Hispanic mission located at Church of the Atonement (Chicago, Ill). Moved to its own building in 1978. The church later moved to All Saints Church Ravenswood (Chicago, Ill). Later it moved to share space with a Lutheran congregation in Oak Park, Illinois. In 1995, it moved again to rent space from the Ebenezer Lutheran Church (Chicago, Ill). Finally in 1997, Cristo Rey was able to take custody of a church building located at 2514 West Thorndale in Chicago.

Iglesia Santa Teresa de Avila (Chicago, Ill)

Begun as a Hispanic fellowship in the 1980's, it was received as a Mission in the Diocese of Chicago in 1994. In 1995, Fr Alvaro Araica was appointed Vicar for Santa Teresa while also serving as Vicar of Cristo Rey Episcopal Church. In December 1999, the mission moved to share facilities with Saint Elizabeth's Church. The two congregations continue to share in a joint ministry until 2009 when Saint Elizabeth's Church ceased to exist.

Saint John's Church, Clybourn (Chicago, Ill)

Originally started as a mission of the Church of the Ascension in 1877, called Mission of Saint John the Evangelist, it became a mission of Saint James Episcopal Church (Chicago, Ill) in 1891. It then transitioned to an Italian mission in 1913 and closed permanently in 1922.

Saint Mark's Church (Chicago, Ill)

Originating as a small building built by Civil War prisoners of war for religious services in 1864, Saint Mark's Church was built in 1866, after the prisoner of war camp was closed and all buildings sold. It opened for services in 1867 and continued until 1918, when it merged with Saint Alban's Church and the Church of the Transfiguration, retaining the name, Saint Mark's Church. In 1959, the Church closed its doors.
