Originally established as a Hispanic mission of the Church of the Advent (Chicago, Ill). Formally established as a Hispanic mission church of the Diocese of Chicago in 1978.

Begun as a Hispanic fellowship in the 1980's, it was received as a Mission in the Diocese of Chicago in 1994. In 1995, Fr Alvaro Araica was appointed Vicar for Santa Teresa while also serving as Vicar of Cristo Rey Episcopal Church. In December 1999, the mission moved to share facilities with Saint Elizabeth's Church. The two congregations continue to share in a joint ministry until 2009 when Saint Elizabeth's Church ceased to exist.

Originally formed as a mission in 1950 called Church of the Holy Rood, the name was changed to Saint Charles Church in 1955 when the church became a regular parish church.

Founded originally in 1934 as a mission of Saint Stephen's Church, called Church of Our Father, it changed its name in 1945 to Saint Cyprian's Church. It closed its doors in 2001.

Originally started as a mission of the Church of the Ascension in 1877, called Mission of Saint John the Evangelist, it became a mission of Saint James Episcopal Church (Chicago, Ill) in 1891. It then transitioned to an Italian mission in 1913 and closed permanently in 1922.

Originating as a small building built by Civil War prisoners of war for religious services in 1864, Saint Mark's Church was built in 1866, after the prisoner of war camp was closed and all buildings sold. It opened for services in 1867 and continued until 1918, when it merged with Saint Alban's Church and the Church of the Transfiguration, retaining the name, Saint Mark's Church. In 1959, the Church closed its doors.

Established in 1886 as a mission, it became a parish in 1905.

Begun in 1888, St. Stephen's existed as an unorganized mission until approximately 1905. Charles E. Taylor was the rector appointed in 1899.
