Saint Andrew's was started as a mission / chapel of Christ Church (Streator) and shared a rector for a number of years. It was one of the only truly rural churches in the diocese of Chicago. Originally consisted of a church, parish hall, and cemetary. Currently St. Andrew's is only open Easter Day through Christmas Eve and is one of four churches that comprise the consortium of churches known as the LaSalle County Episcopal Ministry.

Founded in 1878 as an unorganized mission, Saint Andrew's became an organized mission in 1885. Services were held in various homes and buildings in the town, until a church building was built in 1896. In 1993, Saint Andrew's became the first church to leave the Diocese of Chicago and join the Diocese of Quincy. It may have ceased to exist in 2008.

Founded in 1880, it still exists today.

In 1878, the Church of the Atonement and Saint John's Church merged to form Saint Andrew's Church. Church of the Resurrection merged with Saint Andrew's Church in 1926.

First interracial church on the West side of Chicago, established in June 1889, closed its doors in 1892 because of insufficient funding.

Began as a mission in 1902 in Chicago Heights, Illinois in a local hall. The congregation was able to build its first building in 1905. The church was a vibrant, growing congregation for many years. In addition to the Women's Guild Auxiliary, the mission organized a choir, Bishop Anderson Guild, Saint Monica's Altar Guild, a young people's organization and a church school. In 1947, it officially became a Church. It began a slow and steady decline as parishioners began to move to larger churches in neighboring suburbs. During the 1990s, Saint Ambrose Church joined with Christ the King Church (Lansing, Ill) and Church of the Good Shepherd (Momence, Ill) to form the Trinity Episcopal Ministry. All efforts to grow failed and the church held its last service on July 24, 2005.

Mission church

Formed in 1888 as a mission in Norwood Park, Illinois, an independent village, later incorporated into the City of Chicago. On September 28, 1890, Saint Alban's Church was organized as a church within the Diocese of Chicago. In 1918, Saint Alban's Church merged with Saint Mark's Church and the Church of the Transfiguration. In 1920, the Saint Alban's mission was reopened.
