Organized in 1919 as Saint Andrew's mission for Colored People. In 1945, it became a church, however, due to a loss of members, it was returned to mission status in 1985. In 2006, it was merged with the Church of the Pentecost (Fellowship) (Chicago, Ill), another small mission in Chicago, adding Pentecost to its original name.
