Saint Andrew's was started as a mission / chapel of Christ Church (Streator) and shared a rector for a number of years. It was one of the only truly rural churches in the diocese of Chicago. Originally consisted of a church, parish hall, and cemetary. Currently St. Andrew's is only open Easter Day through Christmas Eve and is one of four churches that comprise the consortium of churches known as the LaSalle County Episcopal Ministry.

Began in 1907 in Grayslake, Illinois. In 1916, the church became an official organized mission and was finally able to erect a church building in 1927. Finally, in 1955, the church became a parish within the Chicago Diocese.

Organized in 1919 as Saint Andrew's mission for Colored People. In 1945, it became a church, however, due to a loss of members, it was returned to mission status in 1985. In 2006, it was merged with the Church of the Pentecost (Fellowship) (Chicago, Ill), another small mission in Chicago, adding Pentecost to its original name.

Originally named Church of the Messiah, the church met in a store or hall on North Avenue. On March 3, 1895, the church was formally organized as Saint Ann's Church, an organized mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago. In 1928, a large fire destroyed most of the building. The congregation was able to remodel the remaining structure and continue to use the building. The church may have closed in 1964.

First recorded in the Diocese of Chicago journal in 1866 as a struggling unorganized mission with a congregation of 167 persons, it was last mentioned in the journal of 1879 as a congregation of 75 persons.

St. Anslem's existed until it merged with St. Mary's Episcopal Church (Chicago, Ill) (Korean Mission) (650.64) in 1995 to become One in Christ Episcopal Church (670.61).

First Swedish church of any denomination in Chicago and the second Swedish church in the country. Established in 1849, Saint Ansgarius Church burned in the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. After being rebuilt, it continued until 1920, when it closed. It reopened in 1924 and was rededicated in 1943 as Saint Francis Church (Chicago, Ill).

In 1959, Saint Ansgar's congregation was accepted into the Chicago Diocese as a mission. In 1995, it had developed to the point where it became a parish, and continues as such to date.
