History

Formed in 1888 as a mission in Norwood Park, Illinois, an independent village, later incorporated into the City of Chicago. On September 28, 1890, Saint Alban's Church was organized as a church within the Diocese of Chicago. In 1918, Saint Alban's Church merged with Saint Mark's Church and the Church of the Transfiguration. In 1920, the Saint Alban's mission was reopened.
